A Ruin in the distance

Mythrandiel would land quietly  near by.  So Murbib what would you say is the best way to hunt these so as not to put any of your tribe in danger?  I could Probably just swoop in and grab one, but we should probably work as a team.

As they were just beginning to plan they herd the heard of Mammoths become spooked, and they would begin to hear a few of them make horrible loud noises of pain , something was there and was beginning to kill them. Mythrandiel couldn't see what they were quite yet, but he could hear the horrible sounds the mammoths were making. Whatever was killing them, it wasn't just doing it for the hunt, it was taking pleasure out of killing these creatures painfully.

We need to see whats causing this..... if all the mammoths die out our food sopurce will be gone. Anyone that wants to get off do it now. When anyone getting off was off he flew into the air and surveyed the heard while circiling above them his eyes scanning the herd to find the assailants

They all got off, they knew whatever it was they probably wouldn't be much help. The extent of combat they were use to was small game like rabbits, maybe deer.

When he flew up to circle around the herd he would see a group of five grotesque creatures attacking the herd, slaughtering these mammoths rather brutally. They had the bottom halves of spiders, but elven torsos that were black as night. Knowledge would seem to just appear in his mind about what these were. Driders. Brutal Drow who were transformed into the under dark equivalent of a centaur by their dark Goddess Lolth.

Mythrandiel would swoop down onto one of the driders on the outside of the heard and   grasp it within his claw before tearing it apart, and roaring  loudly trying to get the attention of the other driders, hoping they'd leave the mammoths to escape, and possibly  run away showing him where they came from, but he was fully ready to fight

It was rather easy to kill the first drider, the other four turned to him and hissed loudly, making sounds that sounded like horrible mixtures of the Drow Language and spider hissing. But as soon as they saw him, he saw each of them start to shine slightly, they were being protected by some kind of powerful magic.

One of them managed to croak out in an attempt at common tongue "Leave, metallic, you can not kill us so easily..."

This Mountain is MY territory now. Take your leave and no further harm will come to you

They all let out some very high pitched screechy laughter "Challenge us...and die!"

I Don't think I will be meeting my maker anytime soon. Leave, or fight me. He roared a defiant and thunderous roar

They charged, but before they got to him then halted suddenly and each one of them leveled their spears at him and shot red abyssal charges out at him from their tips. It was obvious something abyssal was blessing these driders.

Mythrandiel would dodge to the side quickly and Would roar again as he released a torrent of White flame from his maw that aimed to swallow the the driders.

The abyssal spears create shields against his fire, and most of them some how managed to hold, the power that was blessing them was very powerful. One of them screamed as his shield was blown apart, the others launched forward quickly after his breath attack ceased, attacking him furiously.

Would charge at them as they charged him grabbing one in his jaws and crushing while batting at the other with his arm.

The one he went to bite was bit into, but it wasn't dead, the shield was making it harder to chomp him in half. The drider was starting to rake at him with it's claws, since it was too close to effectively use it's spear. The other two managed to avoid his claws and charge at him with there spears leveled to stab at him.

Mythrandiel growled annoyingly at the creature in his mouth and clenched his jaw again harder then before, not having expected the shield to be so "crunchy". As he did this he eyed the other 2 drider and shoved them with his foreclaws. "get off you annoying bugs"

Once he bit into the drider, it was obviously very dead, but it also spilled a rather horrible version of blood into his mouth. Obviously twisted by the magic that made these drow into Driders. It was black and thick and it smelled foul,and tasted worse. The other two jumped backwards and avoided the claws just barely though.

Mythrandiel made a awkward face and spat out the mangled and terrible tasting corpse toward the other two and after moments of spitting and not succeeding in ridding himself of the taste he let loose another gout of white flame to burn anything out of his mouth , and coincidentaly he was still aiming at the other 2

He managed to catch one of them by surprise with the corpse and fire, burning him up quickly in the fire. The other managed to get away from the breath and started scurrying away quickly.

Mythrandiel growled and gave chase taking flight and following him, his claws wide open waiting to grab it.

Mythrandiel was fast, but the Drider was using the environment to his aid, moving quickly behind trees or large rocks to keep from getting caught. It worked for a time, and then Mythrandiel saw an opening, and the Drider was as good as caught.

Mythrandiel lifted the drider to face him and stared him down. Why are you on MY land.

It hissed "We are taking land in the over world! This is our land now beast!"

Mythrandiel would simply stare the creature down his dragonic eyes peering into his very soul. " Tell your master that this land is not free for your taking, It is shared between 2 dragons, and we will NOT take this kindly." He unceremoniously dropped the drider onto its spidery ass

The Drider sneered and ran away, but as it was running it shouted back "This land will belong to the King of the Deep!"

"and now, I know his name" He soared into the air and back to Murbib. " Murbib take your tribe and see if any of the dead mammoth can be salvaged, then return home. I am going to track that beast." With that he flew into the air again and from high in the sky he trailed the Drider.
