Re: A Ruin in the distance
Once Mythrandiel started exploring he would feel himself tugged eastward, as if something was out there calling out to him. He could tell that it wasn't a person, it wasn't anything living, it almost just felt like magic, like pure energy itself. But it also felt contained, and closed up.
Re: A Ruin in the distance
Mythrandiel would look eastward, trying to gauge how far exactly eastward it was. He didnt want to leave his new friends, no his family, so soon after bringing them together., but this feeling this energy was pulling him strongly.

If he started flying towards it now he would be back in a little over twenty four hours, dragons were rarely at their lair every night, but as a orphan he wouldn't know that first hand. But adventures and traveling were in his blood as a metallic.

He wouldn't be able to resist, and he'd take off in the general direction he didn't feel like it was too far so off he went

On his way there, he would see the mountains starting to taper off into smaller mountains and eventually to a large hilly tundra like environment. Then he would see it in the distance, a dip in the ground, a significantly sized circular dip. It was obviously a crater but it was old, very old.
Re: A Ruin in the distance
Mythrandiel would circle the crater looking for any other life

Re: A Ruin in the distance
About a hundred feet from the crater, in a massive circle, it was like a border. Nothing grew past that, no animals would go past it, there was nothing close to the crater except the snow the blanketed this entire environment, and even the snow near the energy seemed otherworldly, like it didn't entirely belong here.
Re: A Ruin in the distance
Mythrandiel landed near the edge, smelling and looking into the crater and tentatively began to approach the center

Re: A Ruin in the distance
He wouldn't smell anything but snow or see anything but a crater with an odd faint glow in it's center, which was obviously the energy he was sensing. But something else, more powerful than any of those sense, stuck out in his mind. He would feel a sense of belonging, a sense of...home.
Re: A Ruin in the distance
Mythrandiel would make his way to the center feeling much more at ease. heading directly to the faint glow

The faint glow would intensify when he got close to it, flashing slightly and rhythmically like a heart beat almost.
Re: A Ruin in the distance
Mythrandiel  circled the glowing  ground. He was cautious but he wasnt afraid of the glow,it seemed at home to him familiar. He would  attempt placing a  hand/paw/claw on the glowing area unsure of how to communicate with it.

Re: A Ruin in the distance
As soon as he touched it the glow would intensify, and an object slowly rose from the snow. An objects of glowing white, gold, and black. It was moving and changing shape so that every time he blinked it seemed as if it was a different shape.
Re: A Ruin in the distance
He'd tilt his head slightly looking at it. " Hmmmm now what exactly, are you?"

Re: A Ruin in the distance
Rather than hearing this, he felt it, like one feels bass in their bones. "That's a very good question Mythrandiel.."
Re: A Ruin in the distance
"Who are you?, where are you? why can I hear you inside rather than out?"

"All good questions still, Mythrandiel, but I can not answer them yet. For I am alive yet not alive, an item which needs words to open. You must answer my riddle before I answer any of your questions, Mythrandiel."
He spoke to the riddle within Mythrandiel, and it went like this:
More powerful than all the gods
Worse than pure evil
Poor people have it
Rich people need it
What is it?

Re: A Ruin in the distance
He pondered a bit. " The only thing the poor have that the rich do not, is humility. That is not evil in the slightest. The answer is Nothing."

"You have answered correctly, you are free to ask one question at this time. I am a powerful device, each question will require some challenge to be answered, such as that riddle. But you may ask one now."
It seemed small enough so after this question he could bring this glowing object back with him.

Re: A Ruin in the distance
He would ponder this a few moments and look at the device. " Why does your energy feel familiar to me.

"Because we come from the same space, and we arrived here at the same time. Something hit me mid entry, and that kept me from landing with you, and I landed here. For better answers, you must ask more in depth questions."

"I have a riddle, the ultimate key to unlocking my answers and power. If you wish, you can attempt to answer this riddle. Do you accept this challenge Mythrandiel?"

"No, but this Ultimate Key will always change, so if you are wrong, the next time it will be different. This is the riddle."
I never was, am always to be. No one ever saw me, nor ever will. And yet I am the confidence of all, who live and breathe on this terrestrial ball. What am I?
