She walked up and gave a rather devious and darkened smirk "Well good then. Don't move." Her eyes flashed with a bright yet black energy and suddenly he would feel a searing pain where the closed wound was, it was now a very open wound. She took the scale and rammed it inside of the wound where the scale that was broken away should have been. Besides the pain of being wounded, and having a foreign object shoved into it, he would feel a stinging pulsing pain rushing through his veins from the scale for a moment, but that may end quickly ((how long that lasts is your choice lol)). The pain in his veins, he could tell, was pure Abyssal energy straight from his Abyssal Lord being channeled into him. No wonder it was painful.

He growled as the magic coursed through his veins, pain was no stranger to him and was a welcomed relief to the destitute of his confinement and separation from the material realm. The shadows imbued themselves into his very being, intensifying the powers he once possessed as well as the carnal desires for destruction and power. His bloodrage, starvation, and now the dark magic curing his flesh blinded the humanity he had once learned to cherish.

"What do you want from me," he growled with a tone firm, almost threatening, but not with any ill intent.

She smirked and let out a low and rather threatening laugh "The world has forgotten fear. This world leans so heavily on it's heroes and all their goodness and light, that they have forgotten what it's like to truly fear the darkness and what walks in it's embrace. The abyss is trying once more to invade this world, from multiple fronts, and from multiple lords. But me...I don't need to tear a hole in the world."

She looked him in the eye and her smirk got a bit wider, her form distorting slightly so it was nothing but a cloud of darkness with a slightly feminine shape and grew to about his size. Her grin turned blood red as did her eyes and she laughed louder and louder "You Lucaerys! You will be my knife in this world, you will make it bleed, make it scream out in exquisite pain! Cover this world in MY shadow! That is your new purpose, your last purpose, the only mission and guiding ideal you will ever need. You will be unto this world as cancer is to a body, but no one will ever cut you out."

Re: Whispers in the Dark

Days pass, the Under Darks caverns drag on and on, and a darkness ever darker than his own pulses to the north, so where better to settle down than right in it's path?

A rather large Kuo Toa village led by a one armed Kuo Toa priest named Blidlop found him and immediately pledged their fealty, as their one armed leader was the Kuo Toa who arm he consumed. These frog people had been following him and had begun to revere and worship him. The village held over one hundred Kuo Toa who were capable of fighting, in the coming months that number would go up rather quickly, as they reproduced very quickly. Though they were not very strong, their numbers allowed for swarming tactics.

Along with these fish frogs, there were a small number of Duergar, or dark dwarves with grey skin and quills like that of a porcupine's making up their beards. There were about twenty of them here, that had been travelling north for something and gotten wind of a powerful dragon. Ten of them had warhammers and the other ten had large war axes, all decked out in full dark plate armor.

Lucaerys had just stumbled onto a nest of worshippers and people willing to kill for him, this was the luckiest thing that could have happened for him at this point. It was close to where he sensed the danger, but not too close. It was in a secluded small cavern off shoot with a lake and what seemed to be a small tunnel leading up, maybe to the surface, which would be good for raiding parties. He was in an amazing position for warfare, for the development of this village, and for his rise to power.

Lucaerys took this time to regain his strength and grow accustomed to his old body, the years spent spellbound to his human form left him weary and unable to control the surging darkness imbued in his veins by the shadowlord.  He had found a deadend in the caves nearby his followers which he carved out a den for himself and slept for a short time.  The Priest Blidlop saw to it that fresh food was brought to their new Deity.

This day he woke to a loud rumbling in the distance, crashing of stone and the sounds of molten lava echoed in the depths.  He rose at once, snaring a young Kua Toa beneath his claws but without harm as he rushed out from the den into the darkness beyond. Some of his feathers were plucked out by the sharp rocks of the den lightly they fell to the ground leaving behind him a a bloodied trail.

His followers were started by his sudden movement and Blidlop quickly made sure a number of Kuo Toa warriors followed him, as did the 20 full plated dwarves.

After a short distance, Lucaerys would be able to feel the heat from the molten stone and metal that was sealing an opening far, far above them. But also, they would see the tell tale webs that signaled a severe infestation of Drider. Thankfully they were just at it's edge.

Lucaerys tore through the tunnels towards the opening, leaving a bloodied trail of feather scales in his wake. The scent of metal and fire angered him but beyond that he felt a magic on the other side of the earth. Something powerful was on the other side, something threatening to his dominion.

Lucaerys literally tore through an entire cavern of driders, leaving his Duergar knights and Kuo-Toa warriors to fight them and clean up the mess. He would eventually find a huge hollowed out dome of earth, it seems to be an old dwarven mining colony but it had obviously been completely overrun by Driders, all of the scaffolds and mining carts full of ore covered in thick webbing.
