Mythrandial would smile after a few moments. "something that is always coming but never arriving, that everyone alive has confidence in but will never actively see it though its always there. the answer is Tomorrow. For the future is always ahead of us, once we arrive it is no longer the future but the present. Noone ever see's tomorrow they always see today."

The energy stopped changing shapes and rested on a perfect sphere, and the color stopped changing, resting on calmly swirling mixture of white and black. It spoke in a voice more calming and tranquil than the monotone voice it had before "You have answered correctly. I am the eye of The High God, you may ask as you wish, and I will answer freely."

" Why is it that you feel familiar to me, as if we are cut of the came type of cloth?" As he asked he would gingerly grasp the orb in a claw. "If you do not mind I would like to return you to my chosen home. I feel you may be of great help to me and my new found friends. and could help to keep us safe from those who would try to harm us."

"You feel so familiar with me because we come from the same home, the same place. I was sent here with you, we were meant to have landed at the same place, and my power was going to sustain you and wake you up. But something derailed me upon our arrival. And I have no issue with going with you Mythrandiel, I am yours now as was intended, do as you wish."

Mythrandiel would lift into the air and begin their flight back to the Fortress. " So you were sent here with me? That would mean that it was purposeful, why were we sent here?"

"I am not sure, I was not given the specifics as to why we were sent here, nor do I remember where we come from specifically, seems like it was removed from my memory."

" That is interesting, and a bit troubling, this place, this world or realm feels out of balance, perhaps we were sent to help restore it?"

"Perhaps we were, yes. This world seems to be in some kind of turmoil, some kind of darkness. But I'm not sure what's going on. When we get back to your lair perhaps I will have enough time to truly discern what is happening, or at least bits and pieces of it."

Soon after they'd return to Mythrandiel's fortress lair,  Mythrandiel would attempt explaining what had happened on his sojourn.

Forgeson and Murbib would listen, enraptured by the device, but wouldn't have too much to say...this thing was beyond their comprehension. A planar device that seems to be made of swirling energy that remains solid, and seems to be sentient...they couldn't wrap their heads around it.

Niad though, seemed rather intrigued "I think you just found the answer to your questions Mythrandiel, if this thing can manage to sense whatever it wants to sense from this world, it might remember something about why you were both sent here, how it happened perhaps...this device...this Eye of the High God...this could be a rather signficant find for you."

Of course while he was gone they didn't just sit around doing nothing, repairs were very obviously underway, makeshift cranes lifting blocks of stone and metal, dwarves and kobolds alike working on masonry and mining. It was quite the show of interracial cooperation.

Mythrandiel was obviously very happy to see everyone  working together, and happy and a bit surprised that Niad was also  around the fortress still. for the remainder of the day he would have   helped anyway he could, but for the most part stayed out of the craftsmens way unless they needed. He spent the evening asking the Eye of the high god to tell him any and everything he could about where they had come from and the actual mechanics of how they got here.

"We came from a place, much like this material plane we find ourselves in now. But different, another plane perhaps? I can't seem to remember much about our home. I do remember how we got here though, we were deliberately launched through a large mechanism powered directly by divine power to punch through the various borders between planes to land here. Why...I'm not entirely sure of. If we were sent for the sole purpose of helping this place with something it seems a bit much to send us through plane borders."

"It's takes so much power, and planes have natural portals to one another, all they would have had to do it bring us through each one. Takes longer, but would have been safer. Unless time was more important than our safety."

"I'm not sure, you could develop abilities based on the planes you passed through...or maybe just some kind of blanket planar affect, but we would have to try and hit you with planar energy to see if that was the case...And if it wasn't it could very severely hurt you."

"Hmmm, I'm not sure. I could attempt to do some digging in my knowledge base." It's light dimmed and it was going through the process of searching. It was also now tapping into the planar energies of the material plane to try and get a beat on why they were sent here.

At this point a group of Kobold entered and said "We was over at da drida hole and it look bit like somethin dug through the back bits!"

Mythrandiel would lift into the air and grasp a large pannel of the mithril and headed down toward the drider hole again. Once arriving he would again fill in the tunnel and melt the stones with his fire breath before placing the the mithril plate against the opening and melting it agianst the outside of the whole.

He didn't run into any resistance, if there were driders out of the hole right now, they weren't there. So he successfully plugged the hole. ((this thread will continue in a thread posted by caeriadne entitled from the depths, once Mythrandiel confirms he has seen this notice, this thread will be archived.))
